There are plenty of possibilities in Prague to go and watch a movie. A majority of the movies you can watch will be in Czech, though. Some cinema chains have English movies or dubbed movies with subtitles. But the selection is significantly narrower.
The closest cinema to Prague Nomad is Premiere Cinema in Hostivař, but the English selection is rather limited.
Nice options are the independent cinemas all over Prague. They’re much smaller, but the quality is often on a higher level. Ticket costs may also be lower.

This partially dog-friendly cinema with a famous cafe right across the hall is a top pick in the city center as it’s right next to Wenceslas ’ Square.
They offer all sorts of events from movies to live broadcast operas, ballets, or exhibition halls.
There’s also a cozy café right in the place, and you can consume drinks in the projection halls.
"The cult repertory cinema with a single screen but a lot going on it."
If you fancy choosing a title between classics and hidden gems, this might be the place for you. It's located in Žižkov, Prague 3, and it's one of the biggest independent cinemas. Except for frequent festivals, you can also find workshops and broadcasts there. All in the atmosphere of a retro café.

Cinema close to Florenc in a building decorated with an extensive use of marble. It was reopened in 2023, and along with titles of all genres, you'll find live dialogues, documentaries, and shared activities for students and seniors.

The newest addition as Bio Oko has reopened in November this year. Most of the atmosphere remains untouched, while the projection quality has gone up significantly. Located close to Letná, Oko also offers a bar that's open throughout the afternoon until after midnight.

"Prague’s first boutique cinema. Where the film experience meets the bar experience."
Last but not least, Kino Přítomnost. As stated above, the concept isn't choosing between being a bar or a cinema. It's simply both combined. The menu at the bar is separated into the classic menu and the "silent" menu. You can order drinks from the silent menu also during the projections. That all while sitting in cozy seats with dimmable lights in front of you. If you want to order, you simply increase the light, and the bartenders will come to take your order.

Other honorable mentions are Lucerna, Ponrepo, Edison filmhub, and Kino Pilotů.
You can get the tickets directly at the places or through portals such as GoOut.
